TIME...

Our greatest fear should not be of failure but of succeeding at things in life that don’t really matter.”

This quote got my attention earlier this year as I was thinking if one is really sick or getting late in the years does that person spend his time different. When I heard the word cancer Im thinking okay time to kick it in and make the most of my time. But guess what its that TIME no matter who you are or where you are in the life. Call it Carpe Deim, Live Every Moment, call it what you will but time is precious and I still find myself most of the time playing marbles with diamonds. Just not getting how precious and fragile life is and the relationships that make up our life. John Fischer points out how he feels like he accomplished something in doing so little.." i will often busy myself with something trivial so I dont have to encounter the complex or the uncomfortable. I am lethargic when it comes to the most important" Im right there with him if I get the house straighten up (by the way have you ever went to clean the house, office and as you pick up a book to put it in its right place you started reading the book and well cleaning doesnt get check off the list) or the lawn done then its as if something can be checked off the bucket list. How much trivial things take up our time as in to be the best at a game, hobby, or as the saying goes to "die with the most toys and still die"
In our world we are consume with computer, cell phone,TV,cds,Blu Ray Dvds,PS3..and perhaps consume doesnt cover it when you see people texting one another as they sit in the same room. Lives are being based on how many friends you have on facebook and dropping your status to the world every 5 minutes. Its fun to have these things but a blessing becomes a curse when it takes up more time then it should in your life. Facebook posts, high scores, fantasy teams, biggest collection,etc.etc.
We are losing days, weeks, years of life as we squander the most important things around us and by not spending this time with those who matter the most. I just got back from vacation by the beach with family. And though I did take in the sunrise a couple of times and enjoyed the time with the family I know I missed out. I know I am still learning to take it each and every moment. Starting with the air that I breathe, I need to..taste the food, dance to the music, hear the words, listen, love and live for others. Thanking the Lord daily and realizing this thing called Time is a gift from Him. The More I realize such the more I will be consume by those things that matter the most

Hello again....

To say I havent kept up on the blogging is quite the understatement. I guess I could blame the behind the scene busyness of keeping up with my followers. But since that number is single digit(but thankful I only know one personally so that means a few went out of there way to read a blog or three, thanks!) I actually do love to write but such has faded over the years. Most of us have "satisfy" ourselves with posting any trivial and deep thought on Facebook (and just think a few yrs ago Myspace was the place to post?) I would write lyrics to the amount of 50-100 "songs" but now down to a few and instead of blogging a few entries in a journal suffices (somewhat?) for now.
So I missed on writing about Thanksgiving...and the thoughts of having So much to be thankful for in life. Blogs on everyday life, from thoughts on books, movies (like with The Book of Eli...did anyone else wonder if Kirk Cameron was going to make a cameo in the movie) putting together a youth concert, to my son just turning one (now theres easily a daily blog) and now recently being checked for skin cancer. So can I double up in one day and write more in depth on such things of life. Meanwhile the only thing worst in being away for so long...is not being missed....Hope to hear from those that just "happen" to read this and take part together in this Beautiful Ache.

ANYONE (anyone) out there? Got the Time?

Just a short and to the point question is anyone out there? Could you please make a reply and perhaps we could actually have a discussion or such. I actually saw the best description of most of us and it was at Facebook (where else) somebody posted that they was so busy they needed more time in life to get things done. But somebody came back with a Great reply..yet you have time for facebook. Once it was chat, then myspace now its facebook (something will come along to replace it sooner or later) anyway somebody along with Mr "Anonymous" (seems to want sunshine when it rains and rain when its sunny) leave some comments.. last blog was WHAT TIME IS IT IN YOUR LIFE?..

P.S. Lost without Facebook?

Okay havent exactly kept up with the blogging but I have noticed the evolution in "technology"..in that first it was hand written letters then Finally it was emails(yes save a tree or 2) but suddenly Myspace came along and that was the way to keep in contact. I mean hey who has time to email. Then it was Facebook. Now theres no time for emails when you can send "one liners" to stay in touch and let the world know you mowed the yard or had a deep thought. Also like when people say I would email or blog but Im seldom on the computer this is usually the person that has a couple computers at home and/or IPod to keep up with every move by the world. Kind of like the person who says I seldom watch tv, theres nothing good on then they give you a list of movies they never missed which usually includes 3 or 4 reality shows, yes just cant get enough of them. And others can tell you word for word of several movies and sitcoms. Okay so just a little note but I do plan to get in some more blogging. We are less than a month away from leaving for Kenya. May need to go revive my Myspace from the dead and actually start a Facebook (or start "other body parts" book) to draw in some bloggers...if you accidently read this by chance pretend this is "Handbook" (for you Donny) and blog a line. I want to know if you mowed your yard or perhaps had a deep thought.....thanks
